DIAX AIR-CON DEODORIZER

Removes unpleasant smell & disinfects REFRESHING LEMON

What do you do when you know that your car's air conditioner needs cleaning? If you bring your car for servicing, you know it will cost you quite a bit. What about if you know you are bringing people visiting the hospital or sick people in the car? You need to disinfect the air circulation of the car. You need a Dettol equivalent for cleaning your car's air circulation.

The solution is to get an air-con deodorizer. Driven Asia Pacific imports this Diax Air-Con Deodorizer to Singapore for customers like me who needs to clean up the air quality in the car after using it for some time. The listed price at the website is S$7.20. I'm not sure whether you can still get it at such a price or their website is so outdated. I bought mine at Singapore's very own petrol pump service station company, (Singapore Petrouleum Company Limited) SPC's shop (called Choices). It costs me S$9.10 there.

This thing comes in two flavours. At least that's what I can choose in Singapore, not sure whether they have more. The one I bought has the refreshing lemon flavour. The other flavour I saw is a green bottle with the same designs but I forgot the flavour type.

It comes with a nozzle tube which you need to install so you can spray into your air-con vents first.

The spray output is purposely designed to be facing up slightly at 45 degrees instead of the standard horizontal types because it is meant to be placed inside the car to spray automatically later at the feet space. This will help direct the spray up to the room around the seats from the feet space below.

The steps are illustrated pretty clearly to follow with instructions.
1. Shake well
2.With air-conditioning switched off, spray into air-con vents using supplied nozzle tube for about 10 seconds. I sprayed on all the air-con vents.
3. Start engine. Switch on the air conditioning, setting the system to re-corculation on full fan power. Make sure air vents are open.
4. Remove nozzle tube. Depress the nozzle lever into the lock-down position ensuring that the unit is pointing away from eyes and face. This will let the whole spray go into auto spraying mode until the whole bottle is used up.
5. Exit the vehicle & close all doors to allow air-conditioning to circulate within the car for about 15 minutes.
6. Open doors, turn off the engine, and ventilate car for a few minutes.
7. Dispose of empty can safely. The bottle should be fully used by then.

The bottle has 115ml of content.

It is made in Japan.

It is good for me to clean up the air of my car after using for a while. I recommend doing this probably twice annually or if you pick up people going to the hospital or visit those places for some time, it is time to do the air circulation cleaning. I don't see any brands around so I guess there are not many choices in Singapore.
