We headed to the Dragon Head Rock at the seaside. Basically, as mentioned in the previous post, Jeju Island is loaded with rocks. Therefore, it is no exception seeing many kinds of rock formation at the seaside.

Photobucket

Photobucket

This is how the place is named after. Dragon Head Rock. The rock formed looks like a dragon's head. Some people said it looks like a dog's head to them.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Some people pray to some sea gods.

Jeju is also famous with their fisherwomen.

We departed to Songsan Sunrise Peaks later. It is basically an extinct volcanic crater on the eastern tip of the island.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We have to climb all the way up to see the crater.

The ice-cream is definitely great! Very refreshing!

Jeju is famous for their oranges. We tried them, tasted like pamelos.

Photobucket

We were hosted later by this artist in the Korean drama Dae Jang Geum (大長今 / Jewel in the Palace). I heard she had a scene washing some clothes for a few seconds in the drama. She explained to us the traditions and cultures of Jeju Island. The photo shows her explaining what does the three poles at the entrance gate mean.

Photobucket

They are famous for their black boars.

Photobucket

Here, she is trying to promote the local honey.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We went to eat black pork BBQ. Well, I really can't tell the difference since the meat is not black at all...

Photobucket

This is a very interesting fruit. It looks like an orange but tastes like honeydew.

We went to visit the Chonjiyon Waterfall next. The sun angle hitting the waterfall generates a nice rainbow spectrum of colours.

We went to the Teddy Bear Museum after that. It is basically filled with all kinds of bears, especially teddy bears depicting everything about mankind.

We proceeded to Hallim Park to enjoy the nature's trails. You can basically find many species here with cave networks too.

Finally, it was time to have dinner. We ate seafood steamboat which was very disappointing as they really lack seafood flesh at all.

After dinner, we hanged out at the shopping district, Tapdong Street. It is probably the biggest shopping area of Jeju Island.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

I could not go back the hotel without buying more raw fish. This time, I bought a larger pack. 20,000 KRW discounted to 10,000 KRW. Wow! That's around SGD20 to SGD10!

Photobucket

We bought some unagi eels too. Unfortunately, they were not that great. 5580 KRW discounted to 2790 KRW.

It is interesting to note that they have both the Gideon's New Testament bible and the Buddha's teaching book in the hotel room. It is the same for all hotels we stayed later on. I managed to read through the Buddha's book during one of the nights just out of curiosity.
