DIEHARDX GOES TO SOUTH KOREA DAY 7 OF 8

Day 7 came and we were leaving the hotspring. We were greeted by many rock mountain ranges along the way.

We reached Nami Island, again another filming site for Winter Sonata.

Photobucket

They basically turn the whole place into an art nation. You can see all kinds of art stuffs being displayed or taught around the whole place.

We needed to take a boat ride to reach there. It is more like a turtle shell ferry.

They design their very own flag as well and called the 'nation', Naminara Republic.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

You will see lotsa chestnut trees, authentic cottages and a lake.

Photobucket

Of course, the highlight is to imitate what the lead actor and actress did in Winter Sonata.

Photobucket

Our tour guide, Michael, trying to imitate it with an old lady from our tour.

Photobucket

The most important two rows of trees in the movie scene.

The "light bulb" appearing yet again!

Photobucket

Again, the imitation!

There were ducks around the lake.

We saw a sexy actress / model at the lakeside, probably a video or camera shoot for some advertisement or movie or drama. She must be extremely good at sustaining the cold weather with such limited clothing.

The rows of trees again.....how many times do we need to take this shot?

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Again, more shots with the lead actor and actress.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

They also set up a whole room filled with the movie shooting photographs.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

The fake snowmen made of cement.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We tried the BBQ corn, had a good smell but the taste was too bland and dry.

Some arts stuffs along the trails.

Photobucket

Time to leave.

Photobucket

The interior of the turtle shell.

Photobucket

We went to have lunch. The main attraction was the tteokbokki. It is the reason apart from kimchi that we were considering going to South Korea. Yes, it is because of the food!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Stir fry chicken added to give more flavour to the whole mixture.

Photobucket

We entered Seoul yet again after that.

Photobucket

We went to the area near the president's residence.

Then, we reached Namdaemun, the Great Southern Gate, for some shopping. It is more like a night market kind of setting.

In the heat of Namdaemun.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We went to try some roadside stall food.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Taste not bad but "kena potong" seriously. Paid 13000KRW for all of them which cost at most 7000KRW.

We then proceeded to have our Chinese dinner.

Photobucket

Later, we went to watch the famous Jump show, a non-verbal performance based on Taekwondo, the traditional Korean martial art, Taekkyon with a blend of comedy.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

It was definitely hilarious and we had a great time.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Finally, we went to Myongdong for some late night shopping. There were just too many shops and boutiques to cover with the limited time given.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The day ended with our final accommodation of South Korea, J W Marriott.

Photobucket

This was probably even more posh than Sheraton but it gave a too industrial and office like design to me which I didn't really like.

Photobucket

Photobucket

They had their very own chocolate free for the guests.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The industrial office corner I was talking about.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Wow......nice bath tub.
