FOOD MARATHON

I am having a food hunting whole day with my friends. We decided to go for a tour of some nice food around Singapore. First, we hunt the Joo Chiat Road for soon kueh from Kim Choo yet again! This special local delight has thin and transparent skin with specks of sesames all around it. The fillings are shrimp and radish. The special black sauce and homemade chilli made it really nice when you dipped them with both!

Next, we went to East Coast Road for the famous Katong Laksa! Singapore laksa has clams and more coconut milk so the gravy looks whiter. There are many who claimed that they have the original Katong laksa so you will be confused when you are there. Still, we decided to visit the 328 Katong Laksa.

When you are there at 328 Katong Laksa, you will be impressed by the many famous artists visiting it. This includes Ekin Cheng, Tony Leung & Jacky Wu. You will have a very high expectation for the quality of the laksa. I ordered the char kueh tiaw because I love it but not really the sweet Singapore version. Rather the clams in it was the reason.

After that, we headed to Orchard Road for some shopping. We dropped by C.K.Tang's foodstall to check out the chwee kueh. It is like any normal style of serving you can find anywhere in Singapore. With the spicy sambal, we had a 'hot' time enjoying it.

Managed to get this Naruto phone hanging decor, a pig and a cow keychain each for some friends during the walkthrough in Orchard Road.

Finally, we hit Queensway for dinner to end the marathon. We sat in front of the famous Rong Guang B.B.Q. Seafood.

I must drink the sugarcane lemon combo drink which is good! You can find it anywhere in Singapore foodstalls. Then, we ordered some stuffs like popiah.

The satay is interesting though. I ordered the pork and mutton version. I never had any of both before. The mutton satay is the best! I love it, tasted nice.

The barbequed cuttlefish with pineapple is another famous delicacy which smells good. Interesting mix for a great combo flavour. This is from Rong Guang B.B.Q. Seafood.

The barbequed sting ray is soft and fresh. You don't have awful smells or odour like the ones you will have sometimes. The special sauce with onions is the great reason for making it so nice. Sour and spicy at the same time, the dipping just make the whole dish taste so much better! This is from Rong Guang B.B.Q. Seafood as well!

The black carrot cake is also not bad. Spicy and nice flavour, just like how a carrot cake should taste like.

We reached home with our stomaches all satisfied and happy! Now, it's time for the diet program to control my weight! Haha!
